Born in southern California, I moved to the Bay Area in the 1960s, when much of the region was agricultural. Nearby outdoor scenes and years of family trips to our national parks were early artistic inspirations. I began painting in oils during childhood. Little did I know at the time, those early after-school classes were to begin a life-long journey.
Recent work includes 20 years focused on oils at the Pacific Art League, California Academy of Painters and the Palo Alto Art Center. I have worked with Brigitte Curt and Jim Smyth, and continue to study with Van Waldron. I take workshops whenever I can, most recently with Brian Blood, Terry Miura, Randall Sexton, Jerrold Turner and Camille Przewodek. Galleries
